Wanted man in custody after fleeing from police
A Pine Bluff man is in custody following a pursuit on Thursday.
The Pine Bluff Police Department was searching for 29-year-old Darrius Henderson, who was wanted for committing a Terroristic Act, 1st Degree Battery, and Possession of Firearms by Certain Persons following an incident on May 9, 2024.
On Thursday Pine Bluff Detectives received a tip that Henderson was driving a red Ford Explorer and provided a license plate number. Detectives spotted the Explorer just before 3:00 PM.
Henderson fled in this vehicle when the detectives tried to pull him over.
Jefferson County Deputies joined as the pursuit went through several streets on the North side of town near UAPB.
Henderson continued to flee onto University Dr. to McFadden and then onto Dierk Mill Rd. Speeds during the pursuit exceeded 100 MPH. Henderson then drove off road at the railroad tracks on Dierk Mill Rd near Jefferson Parkway.
He was taken into custody by Pine Bluff and Jefferson County Officers just off of the main road without further incident.
He was arrested for the previously mentioned charges with Felony Fleeing added.
