An inmate at the Arkansas Department of Corrections Varner Unit in Lincoln County died Friday after what appears to be a work-related accident.
According to a press release from the Arkansas Department of Corrections, 53-year-old Brian Walker was working inside maintenance, installing lights and apparently touched a live wire.
Infirmary staff responded immediately, life saving measures started at the scene, and continued during transport to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, where he was pronounced dead.
