1 killed, 1 injured in Drew County crash
A Monticello man was killed and a second one was injured in a Friday morning crash in Drew County.
According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, 18-year-old Cadyn Clark Haddox was driving a 2007 Lexus SLS north on Highway 35 near the Drew and Cleveland County lines at 4:25 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a right-hand turn.
Haddox then hit a tree before the car rolled over, landing on its top.
18-year-old Kasey James Stewart was injured in the crash. He was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital, while Haddox was pronounced deceased from his injuries.
Roads were wet due to rain at the time of the accident, according to the report.
